JM JAZZ WORLD ORCHESTRA

JM Jazz World Orchestra is one of the best large world jazz orchestras that has been operating for 13 years. In order for musicians to be able to participate in the work of the orchestra, they have to pass tough competition at auditions. JM Jazz Orchestra 2023 consists of 19 top musicians from 14 countries on 3 continents.

JM Jazz World Orchestra performed at numerous jazz festivals such as the Gaume and Brosell jazz festivals in Belgium, the North Sea Jazz festival in the Netherlands, the Montreux jazz festival in Switzerland, the ATO jazz festival in Bulgaria, and also had notable concerts in Croatia, Belgium , Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Italy and Slovenia.

They also collaborated with the Brussels Jazz Orchestra and Maria Scnheider and performed at the Unicredito Festival in Milan with Gonzalo Rubalcaba.

The artistic director of this ensemble is the American trombonist, composer and pedagogue Luis Bonilla, a musician known for his collaborations with greats such as McCoy Tyner, Dizzy Gillespie, Lester Bowie, Tom Harrell, Freddie Hubbard, Astrud Gilberto, Willie Colon, Toshiko Akiyoshi and many others. Bonilla is a member of the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, plays in Dave Douglas & Brass Ecstasy, and has been touring with Philom Collins for the last two years.
