Vedran Ružić has beenequally devoted to paintings and music. He begins to play a bass guitar as a teenager, and in 2009 he enrolls the Jazz Conservatory in Klagenfurt switching on double bass. Three years later he received the „Status“ Award for the Best Jazz Bassist / Bass Player.
He released his first solo jazz album "Night Talk" in 2014.
The second album "Spiritual Market" was awarded with „Porin“ for the Best Jazz Album in 2016. The album is followed by the first Croatian jazz film, designed and directed by John Kardum and Ira Tomić. The album is a combination of the Istrian and far-eastern influences that follow the Path of famous Marco Polo from Venice to China, combining five original compositions, a traditional Mongolian composition and late medieval motet in new jazz arrangements.
